Wanting to share a car with my son ....?

Hello, my son, looking for a car, but insurance is going to kill (quoting between £ 2800 and £ 6400 for third party fire and theft car insurance group one! I was thinking of buying a corsa / c2, a second car in my name and adding him as a second driver, then basically give the car its 18, but remain in the insurance policy to keep the price down - this is financially a better idea? (I do not reply silly to leave it in the car will not be a good idea, thank you) Also, does anyone already do with their children, and do not know of a good insurance company (cheap) for that, preferably, allowing the two of us building our own premium not?

Hi ... This can help your child for the future: If you do this, make sure to keep his experience as a pilot called for in the coming years. I've been under the insurance my mom for the past 8 years, but when at last I have my own this week some insurance companies quote me over £ 1000. If I had a test over 5 years no claims (which I could not be disturbed and hunting), then I could have gotten for under £ 500. Needless to say I did get for under £ 500 without evidence through elephant.co.uk accelerator for 10 months bonus and fire and theft third Social route. I've done this by adding my mom as a driver named ... took it for a few hundred (Could not quite believe this helped). Your child should also try this method ... 17yo but I still doubt it will make a big difference. Certainly ... £ 6400 for one year is a total rip off. Get you on your insurance for a few years younger and maintain test ... it will be worth when you put your own insurance. Certainly .. my engine is a 96 Nissan Primera 1.6 Sri and I'm 26yo. Hope this helps.
